like to introduce some places I visited on a whim.<br \/>\nIn November 2025, I visited Korankei in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture.<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbKorankei<\/p>\n<p>Korankei is colorful with every season. In autumn, approximately 4,000 trees turn red and yellow, beautifully illuminating the surface of the Tomoe River. The Korankei Maple Festival is held from November 1st to 30th, featuring various events. The area is also illuminated from sunset to 9:00 PM, allowing you to see a truly fantastical view of the autumn leaves, different from the daytime.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to its autumn foliage, the area is also known as a treasure trove of wildflowers. In particular, the Katakuri flower colony, which blooms in full glory over an area of \u200b\u200b5,000 square meters from late March to early April, is so beautiful it resembles a pale purple carpet.<\/p>\n<p>Every year, many people visit to see these flowers.<\/p>\n<p>Parking: Paid (670 spaces) &#8211; \u00a5500 per car (\u00a51,000 per car in November)<\/p>\n<p>\u30fb70th Korankei Maple Festival<\/p>\n<p>A nationally renowned spot for autumn foliage.<br \/>\nThe annual Maple Festival is held in November, when the approximately 3,000 maple trees are at their peak of autumn color.<br \/>\nThe illuminations held during this period offer breathtakingly beautiful and mystical views.<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbIllumination<br \/>\n[Dates and Times] November 1st (Sat) &#8211; 30th (Sun), 2025, from sunset to 9:00 PM<br \/>\n*There will be no extension of the period or hours.<\/p>\n<p>Monkey Show<br \/>\n[Date &#038; Time] 9:00 AM &#8211; almost every day during the Momiji Festival (cancelled in case of rain)<br \/>\n[Location] Korankei Square<\/p>\n<p>Koji Temple<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1427 by Zen Master Shiramine.<\/p>\n<p>The mountain&#8217;s name, Iimoriyama, was named after its shape, resembling a bowl of fragrant rice. In ancient times, it was a mountain castle that took advantage of the sturdy terrain and was the main castle of the Seven Asuke Castles.<\/p>\n<p>The Asuke clan had its headquarters here for generations, and after their downfall, this temple was rebuilt to commemorate their passing.<\/p>\n<p>The temple&#8217;s name, Koji Temple, was inspired by the Vimalakirti Sutra&#8217;s &#8220;Koji Buddha&#8217;s Country Chapter.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe scenery around this mountain, with the shape of Mt. Iimoriyama and the clear waters of the Tomoe River in harmony, is magnificent throughout the year. The sight of the thousands of maple trees turning green in early summer and the autumn foliage in particular is breathtaking and beyond description.<br \/>\nThese maple trees were first planted by the 11th head priest, San&#8217;ei, along the approach to the temple along the Tomoe River during the Kan&#8217;ei era. From the end of the Taisho period, more and more trees were planted by local residents and others, and in 1930 the area was named &#8220;Korankei,&#8221; taking the characters &#8220;ka&#8221; (fragrance) from Kosekiji Temple and &#8220;arashi&#8221;
